Linköping is strategically situated next to highway E4 and the main railway between Malmö and Stockholm. The position makes it an easy destination to reach. Linköping also got its own Linköping city airport with international traffic to Copenhagen with SAS (1 hour) and Amsterdam with KLM (2 hours).

One can also fly to Stockholm Arlanda Airport (all airlines) which is located north of Stockholm, 250 km from Linköping. There are a few direct trains Arlanda-Linköping each day.
