Burgo de Osma El Burgo de Osma is an old historic town in the province of Soria in Castilla y León, dating back to Celtiberian/Roman time and surrounded by a beautiful landscape. It is situated 900 meters above sea level and has today 5000 inhabitants. It is possible to find Roman ruins, Arabic castles and well-preserved medieval villages nearby as well as The Rio Lobos Canyon, the Ucero Mountains and the Ribera del Duero famous wine district. In Burgo de Osma you should not miss seeing the Cathedral, the town walls, the ruined Castillo de Osma the remains of the Roman town Uxama Argaela, the University of Santa Catalina (1544 - 1831). At the end of August it is usually mild or warm during the days but with cool evenings. Although usually dry, there is some possibility of rain so bring an umbrella.
